Sonshine Choir

The Children's Sonshine Choir is an important part of the church's music ministry. We have performed a children's Christmas musical for the last five years and enthusiasm for the plays continues to grow each year. The Christmas musicals we have done include "Angels Aware," "Fear Not," "I Wish You Jesus," "Hark the Herald Angel," and "C.H.R.I.S.T.M.A.S.," and "The Mystery of the Missing Manger."

Another big hit with the kids are the Vacation Bible School musicals. Each year the musical carries the theme of the Bible School.

The kids have portrayed mountain climbers in "Mt. Extreme, The Ultimate Good News Challenge."
They have been on a rain forest expedition in "Amazon Outfitters."
"Star Quest, A Galactic Good News Adventure" took them on a journey into outer space.
The Kids uncovered the mystery of the Ten Commandments in "Truth Trackers and the Secret of the Stone Tablets."
In "Go For the Goal" the children set up their own Olympic Games and discovered a lot about the game of life.
They traveled along with two crazy cowboys as they found their way to the Good News Stampede in "The Wild and Wonderful Good News Stampede" musical
Diving into the depths of God's faithfulness, in "The Fantastic Good News Ocean Odyssey," the kids explored treasurers in Bible study.

ABC's of becoming a Christian

A -- Admit
Admit to God that you are a sinner.
Repent, turning away from your sin (Romans 3:23; Romans 6:23; Acts 3:19; 1 John 1:9).

B -- Believe
Believe that Jesus Christ is God's Son
and accept God's gift of forgiveness from sin (John 3:16; John 14:6; Acts 4:12; Romans 5:8; Ephesians 2:8-9; John 1:11-13)

C -- Confess
Confess your faith in Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord
(Romans 10:9-10; 13)

One of the children's all-time favorites was "God's Top Ten." The unforgettable songs created a fun way to learn the Ten Commandments.

The Children's Sonshine Choir normally practices every 1^st and 3^rd Sunday evenings from 6:00 p.m. to 6:45 p.m. The rehearsals increase when we are practicing for a special musical. Any child in the church is invited to sing & participate throughout the year in special music and in various musicals.
